hehe i saw some medieval painting, and thought of expressing my view on it in a poem.

I've been reading your pieces in the order they were submitted but this is the first that i've felt highly inclined to comment upon. The thing is, you write beautifully, there is very little wrong with any of these.. they just fail to catch my interest on average and that is likely a personal preference and I do apologize for allowing it to stand in the way of my ability to objectively critique however reading this piece has inspired me to read on the main reason being I feel that out of the pieces you submitted to us for critique this is the first that effectively and truly captured a mood, and it has done it very well. It is dark and almost melancholy.. it's romanticized and it does have the same kind of feel as the type of painting you describe, after reading this it peaks my interest in seeing the image but this piece is wonderfully written and vibrant, alive, by that i'm not suggesting that its cheerful merely that it has a life, a certain light to it that catches the eye and draws the reader, it feels sincere, like a story you have displayed for us as opposed to a bunch of words on my computer screen.
Once again I apologize for my failure to be objective and allowing my personal tastes to get in the way.

don't worry. we all have to face subjectivity often, and in fact everything in life is indeed subjective. There is no escaping it. I am not offended at all by it.
